Magners provides the biggest tickle yet!
Organisers of The Magners Big Tickle, Northern Ireland's largest comedy festival are promising an even bigger and better line up of comedy for the 2008 Derry festival which runs 5th-14th September.
Launching the 2008 programme at The Playhouse, Derry, Eavan King, Festival Manager said:
"This year's festival is the biggest and best yet with 17 top comedy names at the Magners Big Tickle including Rich Hall, Ardal O'Hanlon, Colin Murphy, Andrew Maxwell, Reginald D. Hunter, Phil Nichol, Kevin McAleer, Jake O'Kane, Robbie Bonham, Fred Cooke, Aidan Bishop, Simon O'Keefe, Glenn Wool, Isy Suttie, Dan Atkinson and Joe Wilkinson.
"The festival is delivered by The Playhouse, Derry in partnership with Magners Original Cider, the Belfast Telegraph, DCAL Events Unit, Derry City Council and the City Hotel Derry. The number of venues involved has significantly increased this year which reflects the success of the festival and its reputation as one of the top spots for comedians on the international comedy circuit.
"The festival offers audiences a superb mixture of comedy styles - a perfect partner for the Magners brand which is all about taking time out and having a laugh, chilling out and enjoying yourself".
The event is also supported by Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau and The Nerve Centre, and the number of venues has increased to include the Millennium Forum, Sandinos, Beech Hill Hotel and the Alley Theatre, Strabane.
